Shirley Evelyn Knickerbocker Weds Gaylan C. Hocott
St. Paul's Methodist Church was the scene July 24 of the wedding ceremony of Shirley Evelyn Knickerbocker and Gayland C. Hocott. The Rev Kenneth Burgess officiated.
Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Knickerbocker of 303 Helen Street are the bride's parents and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hocott of Battle Creek are the bridegroom's parents.
For her wedding the bride chose a white gown of Chantilly lace and a net featuring a lace bodice round neckline, long sleeves and full net skirt. A pearl cap held the fingertip veil in place and she carried white carnations with lily of the valley centered by pink rosebuds.
The bride's only attendent was her sister, Jean Knickerbocker, who wore a blue lace dress with headpiece to match. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations.
Leroy Holcott, brother of the bridegroom, was the best man and Floyd Knickerbocker, brother of the bride, and James Young of Battle Creek seated the guest.
Following a northern honeymoon the new Mr. and Mrs. Hocott will leave for Great Falls, Montana, where they will live until Mr. Hocott completes his duties in the medical department of the Air Force.
